Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for a 1st Shift Shipper for our Savannah , GA location.

Responsibilities:

• Performs the day-to-day operations of the shipping Department
• Retrieves all totes according to shipping paperwork, checks off tote ID number and checks for quality and accuracy
• Packages items according to company standards
• Loads the UPS trailer throughout the day
• Properly labels items
• Makes sure items are shipped on time
• Follows special instructions on orders
• Ensures all tote ID numbers match before beginning shipping process
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace at the end of the day.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift objects weighing 50 pounds
• Ability to walk and stand on concrete floors for a long period of time
• Ability to frequently bend, side bend and twist the back
• Ability to do occasional neck flexions and twisting while sitting, standing, or squatting
• Ability to read or write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations and the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
• The successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period.

Additional Information:

The pay rate is $18.00 per hour

The hours are 8:15am-4:45pm, Monday - Friday.
