### What You'll Do
- Participate in a 3-week intensive training program at the start of the internship, designed for both experienced and novice candidates.
- Work on a real actuarial project, primarily focused on a government contract, allowing you to make a meaningful impact.
- Gain hands-on experience in insurance statistics and data analysis.
- Collaborate with experienced actuaries on significant projects.
- Receive constructive feedback and mentorship to develop your professional skills.
- Contribute to the success of a high-impact project, with potential opportunities to work on additional projects if the summer project is completed early.
### Essential Requirements
- Currently pursuing or already obtained a Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 or a "Pass" in a Pass/Fail grading system.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign national who has lived in the U.S. for at least 3 years, with authorization to work in the U.S.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt. Proficiency in spreadsheets is important.
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
The internship begins on May 19, 2025, with the 3-week intensive training program, running through early August 2025. Candidates must be able to work in our Plano, TX office or remotely if not local. Due to the intensive nature of the training program, late starts cannot be accommodated.
### Pay, Benefits & Perks
- Hourly rate of $20-$25.
- Enjoy 3 weeks of paid training at the beginning of the internship.
- This position is remote; you have the option to work from our Plano, TX office if preferred, though transportation or housing support is not provided.
- Opportunities for employment may arise at the end of the internship.
- Potential to work on additional projects if the summer project is completed early.
