MAHEC is now accepting level III Pharmacy Technician candidates to support retail 340B Pharmacy operations at MAHEC's Biltmore Community Pharmacy. This is a full-time position working from the Biltmore Campus location during weekday business hours. Responsibilities include managing pharmacy workflows and systems such as dispensing, pharmacy information systems, and inventory management; maintaining medication storage and security; managing medication recalls and backorders; connecting patients to medication assistance resources including patient assistance program applications; collaborating with the prior authorizations team; assisting pharmacists and clinicians with medication histories; performing medication refills using standardized protocols; and supporting learners in the pharmacy department. Key competencies include communication skills, decision making, healthcare knowledge, interpersonal skills, organizational values, and problem solving. Required skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferred Spanish speaking skills. Physical demands are light to moderate with frequent physical activity. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license, two years of pharmacy or clinical experience, and advanced skillset in clinical care or retail operations. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 hours per week, with some flexibility and possible work from home opportunities for qualified applicants. Compensation is $23.32/hour plus a full Total Rewards package including healthcare coverage, pet insurance, and up to 30 days PTO.
