3rd Shift Armed Patrol Security Officer Armed Patrol Security Officer Shift : Thursday- Monday (10 : 00pm-6 : 00am) Role An Armed Patrol Security Officer ensures a safe environment for clients, employees, and visitors by enforcing security policies. This role requires carrying a firearm and responding to threats with sound judgment and professionalism. Key responsibilities include conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance, verifying access, and responding to incidents such as alarms and emergencies. Officers maintain detailed logs, communicate with law enforcement when needed, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a strong security presence. This position demands alertness, integrity, and composure under pressure. Officers must be licensed, trained in firearm safety, and comply with all applicable regulations. Minimum Qualifications Must hold or obtain a valid Security Officer / Guard License issued in Louisiana. Must have a valid driver’s license from your state of residence. Special qualifications : Must be 21+ years old. Must pass Armed training and hold a valid pistol permit. Driving post : must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Duties & Responsibilities Security Operations Perform regular patrols to enhance safety and identify security concerns. Monitor access points, verify IDs and credentials. Enforce procedures per Security Post Instructions. Incident Response & Reporting Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol. Maintain accurate logs of activities and observations. Execute routine tasks: locking/unlocking doors, managing security systems, and monitoring surveillance. Customer Service & Professionalism Assist visitors and employees, addressing concerns professionally. Enforce SEI and Client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking). Maintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance. Required Skills & Abilities Minimum Required : Ability to work in fast‑paced, high‑stress environments. Availability to work weekends. Strong situational awareness and curiosity. Ability to stay calm and problem‑solve in critical situations. Basic computer skills; able to use a tablet for reporting. Preferred : Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Minimum Physical Requirements Stand for at least 1 hour without support or break Sit for at least 1 hour without break Walk at least ½ mile without stopping Education & Experience Minimum : Education HS Diploma or equivalent Experience No Experience Required Preferred : Education HS Diploma or equivalent Experience 1+ years of verifiable security, military or law enforcement experience.
