AB - Deckhand Job Summary

We are seeking an AB - Deckhand to support the deck officers in vessel operations, including mooring, cargo handling, and general upkeep of the ship. The role demands strong knowledge of maritime procedures, safety protocols, and hands-on experience in vessel operation

AB - Deckhand Responsibilities

• Assist in navigation and watch standing duties under the supervision of officers, ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations.
• Perform deck maintenance, including painting, cleaning, and routine inspections to maintain vessel readiness.
• Handle mooring lines and assist in docking and undocking procedures.
• Operate and maintain deck machinery such as winches, cranes, and hydraulic systems.
• Assist in cargo operations, including loading, securing, and unloading materials as directed by officers.
• Participate in safety drills and ensure all safety equipment is functional and well-maintained.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the deck and associated areas, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Assist in emergency response, firefighting, and first aid as required.
