About the Role

The Gallery Sales Representative plays a vital role in connecting art enthusiasts, collectors, and professionals with the exceptional works showcased at House of CoHit Gallery. This position focuses on driving sales, building strong client relationships, and ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for our visitors. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in contemporary art sales, with at least 3 years of experience in a gallery environment. They should be a strong communicator and proactive, combining a passion for art with a strategic approach to client engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative individual who thrives in a creative environment and is eager to contribute to the gallery's exhibition and sales programs.

Responsibilities

  • Create an immersive viewing experience for our visitor while determining their needs.
  • Proactive sales and marketing of selected artworks of the gallery.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients including buyers, collectors, art advisors, curators, galleries, and other purchasing influences in the commercial market industry.
  • Reach out to potential clients to introduce them to the gallery.
  • Managing and oversight of consignments and online sales.
  • Management and oversight of general gallery activities including gallery exhibitions, receptions, drafting press releases, social media strategy, and preparation for art fairs.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

  • BA degree in Art, Art History, Design, or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role at a contemporary art gallery or auction house strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally with collectors and art world professionals.
  • A professional record of building and maintaining a robust, active client list.
  • Precise attention to detail and accuracy, and able to efficiently manage multiple tasks.
  • Good knowledge of CRM and Microsoft Office is required. Knowledge of ArtSystems software preferred, and/or other art database programs.
  • Proven experience within the contemporary art industry, furniture design, or interior design is an added value.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
