Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and maintain vehicle functionality by following repair orders or leader instructions.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural malfunctions.
• Perform auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and refinishing.
• Operate and maintain tools such as spray guns, body hammers, and alignment systems.
• Read, interpret, and execute service and repair procedures with precision.
• Maintain detailed records of service, repairs, and auto body work performed.
• Ensure shop equipment operates optimally through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop.

Qualifications
Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of professional experience as an automotive mechanic or auto body technician.
• Proficiency in mechanical assembly, electrical diagnostics, and body repair techniques.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in auto body work and shop environments.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Possess a personal set of tools with a rolling toolbox.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Strong comprehension of written procedures and ability to execute them effectively.

Preferred:

• Certification in Automotive Technology, Collision Repair, or a related field.
• ASE (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence) Certification(s).
• State-specific mechanic or auto body repair certifications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Expertise in vehicle alignments, A/C system repairs, refinishing, and structural alignment.
