Develops and implements policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the payroll function. Ensures compliance with applicable country, federal, state and local laws, regulations and standard operating procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES + Leads the payroll team by developing the execution of both short-term and long-term strategic priorities for the NA payroll department, including payroll processing, compliance, reporting and accounting. + Establishes/ implements policies and procedures to ensure payroll is accurately prepared and distributed in a timely manner. + Oversees the resolution of complex payroll issues, customer concerns, and inquiries and ensures resolution related to payroll processing and special pays. + Ensures payroll end of year processes and reviews audits and inquiries as necessary. May also represent the functional area on complex and/or multi-functional projects that require payroll support i.e. M & A, etc. + Collaborates with internal and external parties (CR, Finance, Corporate Tax, Legal) to ensure policies and practices are compliant with applicable legal requirements, government rules and guidance and internal standards.
