Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain a strong Compliance Management System (CMS) across all levels of the organization.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to banking regulations, including anti-money laundering laws and fair lending policies.
• Conduct research on evolving banking regulations and implement necessary policy updates.
• Develop and enforce compliance policies and procedures to align with state and federal requirements.
• Investigate compliance issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate audits and regulatory examinations, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Assist in testing and quality assurance reviews to maintain regulatory accuracy.
• Support training initiatives to educate staff on compliance protocols and industry best practices.
• Generate reports for senior management on compliance activities and regulatory updates.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure risk mitigation and adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of banking compliance regulations, including BSA/AML, Fair Credit Acts, and consumer protection laws.
• Ability to analyze policies and implement necessary regulatory changes.
• Detail-oriented with excellent research and investigative skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with compliance testing, risk assessments, and corrective action planning.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and compliance documentation.
• Ethical mindset with a commitment to upholding regulatory integrity.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of direct experience in banking compliance or a related role.
