Barback Job Description

A barback is responsible for supporting the bartender in the daily operations of the bar. The main duties of a barback include:

• Stocking the bar with necessary supplies, such as ice, glassware, and alcohol
• Preparing garnishes and ingredients for cocktails
• Cleaning and organizing the bar area
• Assisting the bartender in serving drinks to customers
• Handling cash and credit card transactions
• Ensuring that the bar is always fully stocked and ready for service

The ideal candidate for this position should have:

• Previous experience working in a bar or restaurant
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• A strong work ethic and attention to detail
• The ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
