Position Title: Bioinformatics Analyst

Pay Rate: $40–$50/hr (flexible for exceptional candidates) +Benefits

Schedule: 8 AM – 5 PM PST

Location: Fully Remote

Contract: 12-months (Likely to extend or brought on perm)

We are currently seeking a Bioinformatics Analyst to support computational biology initiatives, particularly around the analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data. This role is central to advancing our understanding of immune and stromal cell populations within the tumor microenvironment, with a strong focus on single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze NGS data, including bulk RNA-seq and scRNA-seq datasets.
  • Utilize R/Bioconductor, Linux, and Bash to perform data wrangling and analysis.
  • Conduct statistical analysis on high-dimensional biological datasets.
  • Generate clear, concise slide decks for internal reviews and presentations.
  • Present findings to cross-functional teams and project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline; or a Master’s with significant hands-on experience.
  • 0–2 years of industry experience (PhD-level candidates welcome).
  • Strong programming skills in R , Python , Linux , and Bash .
  • Proven experience in transcriptomics, particularly scRNA-seq or bulk RNA-seq .
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and communicate results effectively.
  • Prior experience working with immuno-oncology datasets.
