Job Description

GCyber is seeking a Cable Technician II , to support a high profile DISA customer. As a Cable Technician II , you will support and maintain the telecommunications and network infrastructure within a secure DoD environment.

As a Cable Technician II , you will:

• Install, maintain, and repair voice and data communication systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Analyze and maintain telecommunications and network cabling, including fiber optic and CAT6 infrastructure.
• Utilize advanced testing equipment to diagnose and resolve cabling issues efficiently.
• Adhere to BICSI standards, ensuring quality workmanship and best practices.
• Manage cable inventory, maintain organization, and provide effective communication and customer support.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Active DoD Secret security clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
• 3+ years of related telecommunications experience
• 3+ years of experience working as a Cable Technician within the DoD environment
• Related certifications for Fiber Optic Cable and CAT6 Cable installation.
