About the Role
The Company is seeking an Academic Advisor and Career Coach to play a pivotal role in its student success and retention initiatives. Applicants for the Academic Advisor and Career Coach position at the company should hold a Master's degree in a relevant field and have at least three years of professional experience in career or academic counseling. The role requires expertise in best practices for academic and career coaching, a strong understanding of college student development, and the ability to manage a full counseling load effectively. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships with diverse populations, and a general familiarity with the goals of a residential liberal education. Responsibilities also include data collection, reporting, and the development of resources to enhance students' understanding of career pathways. The role demands a detail-oriented, flexible individual who can work both autonomously and as part of a team, and who is willing to work occasional evenings, and weekends, and engage in regional travel as needed.
