Carpenter

 

Burns Management is seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to support capital improvement and renovation projects across our managed property portfolio. This full-time, hands-on role is ideal for a detail-oriented craftsperson who takes pride in high-quality work and can complete a wide range of carpentry tasks independently or as part of a team.

 

Reports to: Construction Superintendent

Supervises: N/A
Wage Status: $30/hour

Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Bonus opportunity of $3,750 annually

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform a variety of carpentry tasks including:
  • Framing, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, trim installation, minor demolition, and finish work
  • Follow project plans and specifications to ensure work is completed accurately and to a high standard
  • Coordinate with the site team to complete work orders and renovation projects efficiently
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
  • Handle materials and tools appropriately; assist with site logistics as needed
  • Communicate professionally with residents, property managers, and fellow team members while working in occupied spaces
  • Report project progress, material needs, and any job site issues to the Construction Superintendent
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and participate in safety meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Proficient in both rough and finish carpentry
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and scopes of work
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and job site equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds and safely use ladders and stairs
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred (OSHA 30 a plus)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
