POSITION PURPOSE:
Service membership, as well as dependents, of the New York City District Council of Carpenters Welfare Fund with mental health issues including, but not limited to: referrals for inpatient rehabilitation, intensive outpatient, outpatient treatment, and case management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide Referrals
Program and Case Management
TRAININGS/GROUPS
· Facilitate weekly psychoeducation groups.
· Provide educational/informational sessions to members, employers, and staff.
· Opportunity to hold therapeutic workshops for employees.
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
· Licensed Mental Health Counselor (“LMHC”) or Licensed Social Worker (“LMSW”) or Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (“LCAT”) or equivalent certification/licensure.
· Minimum of three (3) years experience in the field of substance abuse.
· Qualified Health Professional with a CASAC preferred.
· Experience in the Mental Health field a plus.
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Experience working with individuals in need of substance use preferred.
· Strong assessment and active listening skills, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and effective communication.
· High level of organization.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.

Salary and Benefits :
Salary Range: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills, education, and experience. The NYCDCC Benefit Funds offer a generous and competitive benefit package.
