Certified Medical Assistant – Primary Care Health Center

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a collaborative healthcare team providing full-spectrum primary care services at a large corporate health and wellness center in downtown Atlanta. This is a contract assignment covering an open position with potential for extension or permanent employment for the right candidate.

Location:
Modern, employer-sponsored health center located on Peachtree Street NE in Atlanta’s central business district. The clinic offers comprehensive care including preventive exams, acute visits, lab services and immunizations to employees of a leading financial services organization.

Assignment Details:

  • Initial Contract Dates: July 28, 2025 – August 29, 2025

  • Shift Schedule:

    • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

    • Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Weekly Guarantee: 40 hours

  • Setting: Primary Care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide front desk support including greeting patients, answering calls, scheduling, check-in/check-out and payment collection.

  • Perform clinical duties assisting the provider with exams and procedures (EKGs, well-woman exams, physicals).

  • Conduct phlebotomy, point-of-care testing (POCT) and prepare specimens for lab processing and shipment.

  • Ensure accurate documentation within Epic electronic health record (EHR).

  • Maintain a clean, welcoming and organized clinical environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active national Medical Assistant certification (AAMA, NCCT, AMT or NHA).

  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in primary care settings.

  • Proficiency with Epic EHR.

  • Strong phlebotomy skills and comfort with laboratory workflows.

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
