Several chemistry students participated in off-campus research this summer.
Iman Deanparvar ’25 performed research at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science at the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory (CBL) campus in Solomons Island, Maryland. Her project was entitled “Observing Patterns of pCO2 in the Patuxent Tributary of the Chesapeake Bay.”
Robert Rauscher ’25 was an intern, optimizing product flow of materials, at Johnson Matthey in Pennsylvania.
Brennen De Jong ’25 performed research at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. His project was entitled “Evaluation of Ligand-Mediated Iron Dissolution Rates from Dust in Seawater.”
