About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to ensure the organization's compliance with all clinical medical policies, directives, and performance standards. The successful candidate will be the ultimate authority on medical issues, providing direct patient care and overseeing the administrative and operational functions of the clinical staff. This role involves establishing and monitoring standards of care, maintaining compliance with state and local laws, and leading a quality assurance program. The Chief Medical Officer will also be responsible for the professional development of clinical staff, representing the medical staff to the CEO, and participating in the recruitment and credentialing of medical personnel. Applicants for the Chief Medical Officer position at the company must have full licensure to practice medicine in the state of California, be board-certified in a primary care specialty, and have at least six years of experience in a clinical, academic, or administrative capacity. A strong community health and public health orientation is essential, as is experience in patient care management. The role requires a candidate with a current DEA license, BLS certificate, and a proven track record of leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. The Chief Medical Officer will be expected to have high-level language, math, and reasoning abilities, and to be proficient in computer skills. The position demands a professional who can work effectively with diverse backgrounds, stay abreast of regulatory changes, and foster a proactive and coordinated system of care.
