Are you an experienced commercial electrician seeking a challenging and rewarding career in the construction industry? If you have a knack for conduit installation and wiring, we have an exciting opportunity for you! As a permanent commercial electrician, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, working on a variety of projects, from small renovations to large-scale commercial constructions. You will be responsible for ensuring all electrical systems are installed and functioning correctly, adhering to the highest safety standards. Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Perform general electrical maintenance.
- Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Manage and lead projects from conception to completion.
- Read blueprints or technical diagrams.
- Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
- Ensure all installations adhere to contractual documents and relevant standards.
- Work with project managers and design engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with state and local electrical codes.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Train and mentor apprentice electricians.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrician with a minimum of 5 years in the commercial construction industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, including the installation, troubleshooting and repair of systems.
- Proficient in conduit installation and wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Exceptional listening and communication skills.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team or independently as needed.
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
- Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
- Valid license to practice profession.
- Proficient in English.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on job sites.
