Job Title: Content Marketing Specialist

Location: USA - Remote. Upstate NY preferred but not required.

Type: Monday-Friday, Full-Time, Remote, Non-exempt (includes overtime pay).

Overview

Internet Marketing Ninjas, a leading digital marketing agency since 1999 and “Best Places to Work” recipient, is seeking a Content Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. This entry level position falls under our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) business unit and reports to our Content Marketing Manager.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is very familiar with searching the Internet & sending emails, is creative & open-minded, has excellent time management skills and a high level of personal responsibility, and is looking to be a part of a remote team delivering best-in-class results for our clients.

We will train you - No experience is necessary . The average content marketing specialist has been on our team full-time for 13 years and some of our best employees come from unrelated backgrounds (musicians, bartenders, servers, dog walkers, theme park employees) looking to improve their work-life balance.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

• You’ll begin by undergoing robust training on content marketing and link building concepts, core methodologies for increasing search engine rankings & website traffic.
• Work with team members to drive SEO for our clients by identifying new content opportunities, performing light research around these topics, and sending content briefs to our content team.
• Implement email outreach strategies per training and report coverage/links you obtained for our clients’ content and websites.
• Successfully reach monthly goals for each client on your team.
• While we extend a flexible schedule, a 40-hour work week is expected. We also have weekly team meetings and ad-hoc meetings during regular business hours (10 AM-3 PM EST) which we expect you to be available and present for. From time to time, overtime is offered but is not required.

Skills/Qualifications/Requirements

• A stable Internet connection (We will provide a company-issued laptop, monitor, and mouse)
• Excellent time & project management with the ability to quickly adapt to changing client needs on a regular basis
• Some basic article editing and grammatical skills are necessary
• Dependable & highly organized with a great attitude and desire to succeed
• While a college degree is not required, we would like to see some level of education completed (High School, GED, etc), along with an employment history which demonstrates your ability to succeed

Compensation

This job starts at $18.00 per hour, plus bonuses.

A monthly individual bonus is offered based on performance, along with quarterly or semi-annual, and annual company-wide bonuses based on the overall success of the agency. Many employees double (or more) their hourly rate with bonuses factored in. Raises are offered annually depending on your individual performance each year.

This is largely a performance-based job with uncapped potential and is perfect for an ambitious self-starter with a good attitude and great work ethic. We expect you to reach bonus each month & your total compensation above the base rate is commensurate with your output. We are a place that will give you the freedom to do your job without being micro-managed, and if you excel, we will acknowledge and reward you.
