Job Overview

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of sub-contractor, supplier and vendor onboarding process including; the subcontractor prequalification process, the subcontracting process, vendor set-up and vendor training. This position will provide direct management of the qualification process and oversee the evaluation and approval of subcontractors and related subcontracting limits based on their overall capabilities, performance, safety record, and financial stability. The Manager is pivotal in ensuring that our subcontractors meet stringent criteria to support successful project execution and mitigate financial risks. This role supervises the Contract Administrator role.

 

What You’ll Do

Subcontractor Prequalification Management

  • Subcontractor Evaluation:
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of potential subcontractors' capabilities, experience, and performance history.
    • Evaluate subcontractors' compliance with safety regulations, insurance coverage, and environmental standards.
  • Financial Assessment:
    • Perform detailed financial analysis of subcontractors, including review of financial statements, cash flow projections, liquidity ratios, and credit reports.
    • Assess subcontractors' financial stability and ability to fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and evaluate financial risks associated with subcontractor relationships.
    • Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks through effective prequalification criteria and contractual terms.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Maintain accurate records of subcontractor prequalification documentation, including licenses, certifications, and insurance policies.
    • Ensure subcontractors comply with all federal, state, legal, financial, health, and safety regulations.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Cultivate strong relationships with subcontractors, internal partners, and project teams.
    • Collaborate with procurement and project management teams to align subcontractor selection with project requirements.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Continuously improve the subcontractor prequalification process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Implement best practices and utilize technology to streamline workflows and improve data analysis.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare regular reports on subcontractor prequalification status, financial evaluations, and risk assessments.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and project teams

Contract Management

  • Contract Administration:
    • Oversee the administration of the subcontracting process including contract compliance, milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
    • Coordinate with project managers and partners to resolve contract-related issues and disputes promptly.
  • Subcontractor On-Boarding
    • Be a point of contact for new vendors and subcontractors to align them with Absher’s process and procedures.
    • Assist inter-departmental document needs to ensure timely set up of subcontractor’s accounts.

All benefits are dependent on start date; pro-rated for mid-year hires

 

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $133,000 with the average starting salary in the 40th percentile range; commensurate with experience and training. This ensures we get you properly seated within our organization so that all parties feel good about our future together.
