Corporate Attorney

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a premier Southern California Law firm with over 50 Attorneys in their search for a Corporate & Tax Attorney . We are looking for someone with 2 - 4 years of experience in corporate business transactions. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled attorney who also holds an active CPA license and thrives in a fast paced-collaborative, and high-caliber legal environment. You will be working directly with the managing partner. This Hybrid role combines corporate law and private client tax work.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support matters originated by the Corporate & Tax team, including M&A, partnership agreements, sales/purchase agreements, and other general corporate transactions.
• Prepare and review complex tax forms, including IRS Forms 706 (Estate Tax), 709 (Gift Tax), and 1041 (Fiduciary Income Tax).
• Analyze trust and estate documents to determine funding strategies and tax implications.
• Research Federal and state tax issues related to estate, gift, fiduciary income tax, and GST Taxation.
• Assist in IRS audits involving estate, gift, and trust returns.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, wealth managers, fiduciaries, and external professionals.
• Provide accounting analysis, including trust allocations, proformas, and post-death trust funding.

Requirements:

• J.D. and an Active CPA license required .
• Minimum 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in accounting and corporate transactions.
• Ambitious and driven Attorney to work partner
• Experience working with law firms, wealth management firms, or private fiduciary services.
• Proficient in Lacerte, CCH Axcess, or comparable tax software.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, estate/gift/fiduciary tax law, and GST tax planning.
• Excellent research, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle and bill 1600 - 1,800 hours annually .
• Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Open to senior candidates as well (5 - 10 years of experience)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000
