Job Description

Director, Product Design - OGIO ABOUT THE BRAND: Callaway Golf is the leading manufacturer of premium golf clubs, balls, performance gear and accessories worldwide. Through an unwavering commitment to innovation, we push the limits of performance and create demonstrably superior products designed to make every golfer a better golfer. Our company is a blend of experience and diverse backgrounds, and together we look to move the game forward, and we want top-notch people to join us in that mission! By joining Callaway Golf, you also join part of the portfolio of brands within Topgolf Callaway Brands, an unrivaled tech-enabled Modern Golf and active lifestyle company delivering leading golf equipment, apparel, and entertainment. We are looking for a new Director, Product Design to be the driving force behind our product vision and process. This individual will expertly lead our exceptional design team in creating innovative golf and travel products — including golf bags, travel luggage, and accessories — that resonate with our active lifestyle community. As a visionary leader, you will spearhead our long-term product strategy, overseeing the entire creation journey from strategy to concept, and from development to market. You’ll continuously refine our offerings to strengthen brand loyalty and drive sales. What You'll Do: Lead the design, development, and execution of products, ensuring alignment with strategy, staying within budget, and meeting deadlines. Provide a compelling perspective on new products that can advance our brand, drawing on trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights. Introduce innovative product ideas, including new materials, construction methods, features, colors, and silhouettes. Tailor product offerings to specific consumer personas across diverse collections, ensuring each product resonates with target audiences by addressing their unique needs and lifestyles. Identify and cultivate emerging global market opportunities, adapting product strategies to local consumer preferences and cultural nuances to drive international growth. Present product concepts and strategic initiatives effectively to senior executives and key customers, articulating the value and vision behind each idea to secure buy-in and foster collaborative partnerships. Oversee talented design teams for technical products, luggage, and bags/accessories from strategy to concept, continually improving current products to enhance brand and sales. Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Merchandising, Development, Marketing, and E-Commerce teams to ensure product features are clearly communicated across all touchpoints. Hire, mentor, and lead a diverse team of designers eager to contribute unique ideas. What You Bring: A proven track record in design for luggage, bags, and accessories at reputable brands. An impressive portfolio that showcases a successful balance of innovation and commercialization. A thorough understanding of the design lifecycle, including proficiency in reviewing tech specs, creating concept presentations, and using AI, Photoshop, and 3D software. Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping cross-functional stakeholders informed and advocating for necessary changes to maintain brand integrity. A dedicated collaborator who embodies a “no task is too small” attitude. The capability to excel in dynamic, fast-paced environments and adapt quickly to new challenges. A passion for transforming travel for active lifestyle enthusiasts—a core value that drives all efforts. Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or another related field. 10+ years of experience in business with a proven track record as a senior marketing leader with best-in-class, fast moving, consumer-focused companies. Experience with brands within multiple categories and distributed through multiple channels within a corporate environment. Experience working with retail partners in developing and executing marketing strategies based on customer needs. Extensive demonstrated success managing high functioning teams, both directly and cross-functionally. Why OGIO? This is a chance to be part of an exciting active lifestyle brand that offers the agility of a startup with substantial resources for growth. If you’re passionate about transforming travel for active enthusiasts and ready to lead a team of innovative designers, we want to hear from you! DE&I and EEOC: Inclusion & Diversity: As a purpose-led, performance driven company, we strive to foster a culture of belonging based on respect, connection, openness and authenticity. We are committed to building and maintaining a workplace that celebrates the diversity of our associates, supporting them to bring their authentic selves to work every day.
