Collection Agency is seeking a full-time entry-level Legal Assistant to join our in-house Legal Department. The Legal Assistant will provide administrative support to the Attorney and Paralegals on the Litigation team. Our team is seeking someone who is proactive, a great team player, able to multitask, be proficient with technology and software (Adobe, Microsoft Office). The candidate must also have strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail, able to work well under pressure and have the ability to manage a high volume of files in a fast-paced office. The firm has a highly congenial team, and offers a modern and progressive work environment. Salary commensurate with experience.

Legal Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:
· Preparing Court documents
o Writ of Executions, Bank Levies, Notice of Termination or Modification of Earnings Withholdings Order, Process all incoming mail from the Sheriff’s Office
· Clerical duties (copying, mailing, etc.)
· Court filing/e-filing
· Document management
· Answer phones and take messages
· Maintain and organize files, update files with case status and information
· Notary Certificate is a plus
Paralegal Requirements and Qualifications:
· 1 year of legal experience (preferred)
· Collections experience (preferred)
· BA or Associates Degree (preferred)
· Basic knowledge of procedural requirements for California Courts
· Excellent organizational skills are a MUST
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe/Foxit and Legal Solutions
· Ability to handle high volume case load while maintaining a high level of productivity
· Positive attitude and willingness to take on new and challenging projects
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Be able to multitask and have strong attention to detail
· Work well in a team environment
· Be a quick thinker and a self-starter
· Strong work Ethic
