Environmental Specialist / Supervisor

Near Bay City, TX

Chemical company on ship channel needs a supervisor over environmental reporting, monitoring, haz waste and similar.

Important Points:

1. On-site position; NOT remote
2. Work in all areas of environmental concern in the company
3. Requires degree - appropriate environmental science or engineering
4. MUST have at least 2 years post-university enviro experience; prefer some supervision

Position

• Work under site EHS manager
• Manage technical program and one direct report (technician)
• All areas of water, waste, permits, etc, such as:
• TRI
• Haz Waste/RCRA, etc
• NPDES, SPCC, contingency plans, etc
• Work with all stakeholders on incidents, spills, etc
• Compliance reports
• Extensive work with corporate HSE, regulators, site senior management, etc
• Oversee/manage contracts such as waste disposal, storage, etc
• Sampling: water, waste, materials, air/emissions (sometimes)
• This can be a "stable" or development position

Required/preferred

• Degree in appropriate science/engineering
• Approximately 2 years post university environmental experience needed. Must have had experience in/around operations, sites, etc. Not just desks, modeling, reporting!
• Nice human being able to and enjoys working with people!
• Able to work in and around an active operation inside and out.
• Able to legally work in the U.S. without a visa or sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary is over $100,000 - $125,000, bonus, etc.
