This role requires a strong understanding of clinical workflows and IT project management, ensuring that Epic supports both operational and clinical excellence. • Serve as the primary liaison between IT, clinical staff, and OCHIN Epic representatives to drive project success.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for Epic-related initiatives.
  • Facilitate training and support for providers, nurses, and other clinical staff, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of Epic.
  • Conduct workflow analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for efficiency.
  • Oversee Epic upgrades, system enhancements, and ongoing maintenance in collaboration with IT.
  • Monitor project risks, track performance metrics, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data security policies, and FQHC reporting standards.
  • Provide hands-on problem-solving and support to clinical teams for system-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Information Technology, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Epic project management, healthcare IT, or clinical informatics.
    • Previous experience in a clinical role (RN, MA, LPN, or similar) strongly preferred.
    • Experience working in an FQHC or community health setting is a plus.
  • Certifications:
    • Epic certification in one or more modules (Ambulatory, Clinical Documentation, Revenue Cycle, etc.) preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
    • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities related to Epic functionality and user adoption.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and Epic tools.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Frequent standing, walking, and ability to travel between clinic locations if required.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
    • Manual dexterity and visual acuity to work with electronic equipment and software.
  • Work Environment:
    • Primarily office-based with potential for remote or hybrid work.
    • Regular interaction with clinical and administrative staff in a healthcare setting.
    • Occasional travel for training, meetings, or Epic conferences.
