JOB SUMMARY

A Fare Extraordinaire (AFE), a catering and event planning company, is seeking an experienced Event Producer to join their offsite sales team. The Event Producer plans and executes AFE events from initial inquiry to menu development to day of implementation, event execution, and post event client follow up. This person who fills this role will train under the Director of Sales during an introductory period, after which they will be assigned an annual sales goal and take on the full scope of Event Producer responsibilities. The Event Producer reports to the Director of Sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Once the introductory training period is completed, the Event Producer will assume the following responsibilities:
• Meet or exceed sales goals by providing excellent customer service, prompt communication, and event expertise
• Manage event inquiries with the assistance of the Event Coordinator and Director of Sales
• Design proposals based on client requests and needs in catering database
• Select and sell rental, décor, and other production elements and places applicable orders
• Attend necessary site visits prior to event execution
• Prepare event contracts
• Invoice events after completion
• Finalize all guest count and menu information by assigned due dates
• Review events during weekly Production meeting with all departments
• Review and confirm all vendor ticket details
• Communicate timeline information to clients
• Create event notes to send internally and to event staff covering all event timelines and logistics
• Execute in-house tastings with clients
• Attend weekly AFE sales meeting
• Review sales projections weekly
• Attend events as lead and point-person for AFE team and client
• Attend specific events as additional event coverage for Sales Team
• Attend industry networking events when appropriate

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience with catering and event planning
• Proficient in Office Suite, Google Suite, and database entry
• Experience with Adobe Suite and Canva a plus
• Ability to send accurate written communication utilizing correct punctuation and grammar
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on deadlines and importance
• Proactive, professional demeanor adept at working with many departments and clients simultaneously

DESCRIPTION OF PACKAGE

• This is a salaried position comprised of a base salary and commission paid on a draw system
• Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
• Nights and weekend work required based on event schedule
