At Camfer, our research engineers are training models to intelligently interpret and edit parametric CAD designs in 3D space. This is a cutting-edge challenge that requires innovative problem-solving and creative approaches to tackle complex, highly-technical problems.
In the near term you may be building: custom models to generate parametric CAD models from text, efficient vector representations of 3D models, evals to measure performance of generations in 3D space, or RL frameworks to train agents.

At Camfer, we're building the world's first AI mechanical engineer. Our mission is to accelerate engineering. We want to eliminate the buffer between imagination and reality, while also making CAD more accessible to everyone. Our first step is creating a tool that allows engineers to use text, images, and mechanical drawings to generate feature-rich CAD models directly in their favorite platforms.

We're a small team of software devs and researchers who have a love for CAD and design. Our founders are FRC world champions, UC Berkeley alumni / researchers, UC Riverside dropouts, ex-AWS, and ex-Meta.
We started building Camfer just five months ago. Since then we finished YC, built a SOTA text-to-cad tool, won YC’s internal demo day, and won OpenAI’s o1 hackathon . We've raised $4.8M, our investors include Y Combinator, Next47, Bloomberg Beta, Octave Fund, and the founders of Dropbox and Airtable.
