ChampionX has an immediate need for a
Mechanic located in
Hobbs, NM . This position is primarily responsible for providing maintenance of all Frac trailers, pumps and equipment. This is your opportunity to join a large growing company offering a competitive base hourly rate and benefits.

What You Will Do: - Adhere to company policies and follow Standard Operating Procedure per job task
- Wear required personal protection equipment (PPE) at all times during job tasks
- Ensure a safe work environment, promote a safety culture, deliver safety training (weekly), etc.
- Manage all frac equipment and maintenance needs
- Assisting to manage monthly OPEX on repair and maintenance
- Ensure equipment is safe and in proper working order including scheduling of preventative maintenance
- Manage and perform inventory tasks
- Ensure all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations and maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with the external and internal customers and build positive relationships
- May be required to travel up to 10% outside of Permian Region
- Ensure service completed and documented on all types of equipment, trailers or vehicles
- Assist with vehicles issues/concerns
- Ensure/perform scheduled maintenance on frac trailers and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on all units as scheduled.
- Maintain ChampionX policy inspection maintenance records
- Keeps current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills
- Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment
- Assist in any emergency situation that may need mechanical knowledge
Position Details: - Route territory will include but not limited to: Permian Region
- Work week and shift: Monday - Friday, including weekend on-call rotation, schedule may vary depending on business demands.
Minimum Qualifications: - 2 years of pump and equipment mechanic experience
- Minimum high school graduate or GED
- Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record (3 years)

Physical Demands: - Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working on hydraulic pumps and PTO
- Awareness of chemical safety and the measures to take in the event of skin contact or spill
- Have own hand tools
- Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), issued by the state in which the candidate resides with all the relevant endorsements (X - Hazmat & Tanker)
