Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description

Candidates will be standing along a conveyor belt pulling slabs of wood, which were previously inspected for a wood grade. Candidates will be stacking the slabs of wood in accordance to their grade and the grade match on a material handling cart. Must be willing to lift, turn, and place between 20-30 pounds consistently.

• Consistently lift, turn, and place between 20-30 pounds.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a machine operator, general laborer, or in construction, assembly, warehouse, or farm work.
• Ability to lift 20-30 pounds consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience in construction, landscaping, farming, or other outdoor work.

Work Environment

The shift is from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with potential overtime until 3:30 PM during the busy season (May - September). The work environment changes with the seasons, being hot in the summer and cold in the winter, but heated during winter months. The facility is equipped with fans and industrial HVAC systems to manage air and sawdust. It is a very dusty and smelly environment (like wood), and can be hot and humid. The team comprises 40 employees working on two different production machines. The dress code includes jeans and a t-shirt, with steel-toe boots required. All other PPE, including glasses, ear protection, and gloves, is provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Onalaska, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.93 - $22.00/hr.
