Job Description Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Deep Clean Technician is tasked with cleaning that goes beyond the normal daily cleaning and scrubbing operations of the Hotel Housekeeping staff. Tasks include any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, common areas, back of house areas, and the hotel premises. You will report to the Housekeeping Management. Start Rate: $16.00 p/h | Shift Vary | Must be able to work Holiday's and Weekends Primary Tasks: You will operate and control all mechanical equipment including carpet shampooer, buffer, rotary machines, blowers, power washer, electrostatic equipment, backpack vacuums, and sprayers. Mop, sanitize, scrub, rinse and polish hard floors, surfaces, and balconies. Move and clean furniture of assigned areas. Document and report all items in need of maintenance or repair work orders. You will ensure appropriate chemicals are used when cleaning and mix appropriate chemicals. Keep all chemical dispensing stations filled in the supply rooms. May perform general maintenance and clean machines after use and all other equipment used by staff. Report any issues to proper management personnel. Maintain clean and organized storage rooms. Retrieve all shipments from shipping/receiving dock, deliver and distribute the supplies to storage rooms. May strip remove all linen, terry, & trash from the guest rooms and to remove soiled linen, terry, trash, & glasses & cups, from the associate rooms and to sweep & mop each associate room assigned every day. Follow protocol for any biohazard items. You will walk all assigned floors at beginning, throughout the day and end of shift to ensure that the guest lobby's and vending areas are clean, organized, and free of debris and trash. Clean and supply common area restrooms and break areas. Perform other tasks as may be assigned. Requirements:

  • Display the ability to reason and react calmly and quickly in an emergency.
  • Sound judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions.
  • Able to operate equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mop, and broom.
  • Able to work with cleaning chemicals and handle chemical fumes and airborne particles (on occasion).
  • Work independently and communicate with groups and individuals both orally and in writing.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills multi-tasking ability and time management skills.
  • Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping experience.
