Houseperson Position

PrideStaff is currently seeking an experienced Houseperson for a hotel in Temecula, CA. Full-time.

Pay Rate: $18.50 - $19.00 based on experience.

Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday (8:30AM - 5:00PM). Must be open to scheduling changes depending on business levels.

Purpose for the Position: To clean rooms, halls, and perform a combination of tasks. This will maintain the hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Sorts, counts, folds, marks, and carries linens.
• Moves furniture, hangs drapes, and rolls carpets.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using a vacuum cleaner.
• Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
• Washes walls, windows, door panels, sills, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies, bed linens, towels, guest amenities, light bulbs, drinking glasses, and writing supplies.
• Works with chemical cleaning products to achieve satisfactory cleanliness results.
• Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Required to be always in uniform when working on the property, including wearing a name identification badge.
• Visually inspect the room for cleanliness and appearance, and signify completion of the room.
• Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
• All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Skills and Abilities:

• Understand simple instructions.
• Learn simple procedures and techniques.
• Perform routine work or the same task repeatedly.
• Use hands to lift, carry or pull objects that may be heavy.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.

Physical Demands: Medium work. Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

Requirements: Previous experience is a plus. Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.

Attendance: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by WCG, Inc., from time to time, is essential to be successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance/tardiness will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Windsor Capital Group, Inc. rules and regulations and will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
