Industrial Electrician, Georgia-Pacific Lumber Georgia-Pacific’s lumber mill in Dudley, NC is now hiring for an Industrial Electrician. The role involves learning daily operations, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment to increase uptime and reliability, helping the facility achieve production and quality goals. Pay: $28–$34/hr on a 12‑hour shift. What You Will Do Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participate in the mill safety program. Document and report key findings to supervisor during work execution and actively participate in improving equipment reliability and uptime. Maintain operations, environmental, and safety equipment to achieve optimal performance. Work with operations, supervision, and co‑workers in a team environment to help identify and prioritize E/I maintenance needs. Assist other crafts as needed. Perform tasks such as lifting (up to 50 lb), walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve hours a day. Basic Qualifications One (1) year or more of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or a two (2) year electrical degree. Experience troubleshooting and performing preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment, including motor starters, control panels, electrical distribution systems, and distributed process control systems. Experience reading technical drawings, schematics, and interpreting OEM manuals. Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, PLCs (Allen Bradley Control Logix software), AC and DC motors & drives, motor controllers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control loops and instrumentation. What Will Put You Ahead Two (2) or more years of technical training in the electrical and instrumentation fields. Leadership experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
