About Flint Group:

Flint Group is an innovative investment holding company focused on building long-term value through investments in private companies that generate returns over decades. With a unique organizational structure that prioritizes sustainable growth, Flint Group partners with portfolio companies to drive innovation, improve operations, and achieve market leadership. Flint's investment approach is grounded in the pursuit of long-term success, focusing on innovation, workforce development, culture enhancements, and customer intimacy.

The Marketing Summer Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both digital and traditional marketing within a high-growth investment firm. Interns will work closely with Flint Group's marketing and leadership teams to execute impactful strategies supporting Flint's portfolio companies. You'll have the chance to make a real contribution to the company's marketing efforts while learning from senior leadership and industry experts.

Program Overview:

The Flint Group Marketing Summer Internship Program is a 10-week immersive experience designed to provide participants with comprehensive exposure to both digital and traditional marketing tactics. Interns will gain hands-on experience in PPC (pay-per-click advertising), SEO (search engine optimization), media buying, direct mail campaigns, and graphic design. Throughout the program, interns will collaborate with the team to contribute to marketing initiatives across multiple channels while regularly reviewing key performance indicators (KPIs) and participating in monthly reporting to develop a well-rounded understanding of marketing strategy and measurement in a real-world business setting.

By the end of the internship, you will have gained valuable hands-on experience in diverse marketing tactics, enhanced your technical and strategic skills, and built meaningful professional relationships within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent brand messaging and support campaign goals.
  • Mass Media Coordination: Work closely with the media buying vendor to assist in managing mass media efforts, such as TV, radio, and print campaigns. Learn about posting schedules, traffic instructions, and ad placement. Assist with media scheduling, asset coordination, and campaign reporting.

  • Graphic Design Assistance: Support the design team with creative projects, including social media graphics, flyers, email templates, and promotional materials. Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines.
  • Campaign Reporting: Track and report on the performance of marketing initiatives across all channels, using tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, SEMRush, ServiceTitan, Vendor Reports, and Power BI. Analyze data to assess campaign effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work with marketing, creative, and brand teams to ensure all marketing efforts align with business goals and contribute to a cohesive strategy across all channels.
  • Project Presentation: Develop a project for presentation to senior leadership at the conclusion of the internship, summarizing key learnings and demonstrating the impact of marketing initiatives.
What You'll Gain:
  • Real-World Experience: Gain hands-on experience in a variety of digital marketing channels and techniques, from content creation to performance analysis.
  • Mentorship & Networking: Build strong professional relationships and receive mentorship from senior marketing leaders and subject matter experts.
