Overview:

High Seas is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team. As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will work closely with our Senior Designer and Marketing team to create compelling visual assets that align with our brand identity. You will play a crucial role in translating concepts and ideas into visually appealing designs. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative individual who is passionate about the cannabis industry and has a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design skills and a keen eye for detail.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Designer and Marketing team to conceptualize and create visual assets, including digital and print designs, packaging, branding elements, and promotional materials.
  • Assist in the development and execution of creative concepts that effectively communicate High Seas' brand message and vision.
  • Ensure all designs are aligned with brand guidelines and consistently maintain a high level of quality and creativity.
  • Uphold brand guidelines to maintain a consistent visual identity across all design projects.
  • Support the team in creating visually engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, website, email campaigns, and advertisements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design techniques, and new software/tools to continuously improve skills and contribute fresh ideas to the team.
  • Assist in photo editing, retouching, and manipulation to enhance visual assets as needed. Utilize industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to execute design projects efficiently.
  • Maintain organized files and assets, adhering to file naming conventions and version control.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative, original and diverse design work, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
  • Knowledge of web design principles and experience with HTML, CSS, and content management systems (CMS)
  • Experience as a Videographer
  • Knowledge of current design trends and best practices for digital and print media.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their design requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and apply it to improve designs.
  • Passion for the cannabis industry and a desire to create impactful designs that resonate with our target audience.
