Subject Matter Expert for GoNetspeed's wifi service offering. Conduct research and evaluation of new and existing wifi routers. Troubleshoot wifi related problems with customers and vendors. Provide recommendations for wifi best practices. Manage upgrades of all wifi products. Provide support for new commercial and MDU Internet customers. Responsible for the installation, layout, and maintenance of all network gear Plan, design, analyze, and provide technical support for GoNetspeed's fiber-based network Participate in an on-call rotation with other engineers. Assist provisioning and technical support as needed. Required Skills: Successful candidates should possess in-depth working knowledge of Nokia, Ciena, and Cisco network equipment. Intermediate knowledge in PON related configurations. Intermediate knowledge in fiber termination specifications. Intermediate knowledge with speed test servers, IPADs, and adapters. Entry level knowledge in Unix based scripting and systems management. Excellent project management skills, written skills, and communications skills The ability to learn new technologies quickly. Ability to perform independent system analysis, design, and plan implementation. Attention to detail a must. Position reports to Rochester, NY office.
