Overview:

We are seeking an energetic Leasing Agent for our extensive apartment portfolio in the Kansas City area. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. You must have an aptitude for technology and a firm grasp of social media for marketing purposes.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, varied hours on Saturday.

Responsibilities:

  1. Field all leasing phone calls.
  2. Add prospect information to the Property Management System as received, and ensure the prospect lifecycle process is followed.
  3. Manage and respond to all prospect or resident queries.
  4. Schedule viewings for prospects and tours accordingly.
  5. Advise prospective residents on rental criteria and online application processes.
  6. Provide feedback on models and available “market ready” units, and communicate related service requirements to the Property Manager.
  7. Have prospective residents complete the required application and secure deposit in accordance with the company procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
  8. Facilitate the lease process for new residents via the Property Management System.
  9. Assist the management team with various related tasks as required.
  10. Ensure adherence to Company and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
  11. Submit monthly Lead Report.

Marketing:

  1. Update unit availability in the Property Management System and marketing platforms.
  2. Coordinate and schedule photography of vacant units in line with the completion of the make-ready process.
  3. Provide regular feedback about market competition.

Skills:

  • Maintain professionalism and model company core values.
  • Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to the community team.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Operate telephone, personal computer/keyboard, G-Suite (specifically Google Calendar) , Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Property Management Software.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with prospective clients.

Education:

  • High school diploma required.
  • National Apartment Leasing Professional preferred.
  • 2-3 years of work experience in a relevant field is required.
