Are you a certified special education teacher with a heart for early learners and a passion for structured classroom environments? Were looking for a committed professional to step into a long-term substitute role this fall in a self-contained autism classroom for children aged 36.

This is a full-time, MondayFriday role that offers consistency, collaboration, and the opportunity to work with a strong team of educators and support staff.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Supporting a classroom of young students on the autism spectrum in a highly structured setting

• Implementing IEPs, adapting instruction, and using visual/behavioral supports

• Collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to meet student goals

• Maintaining consistent routines and tracking progress through data collection

• Participating in team planning and contributing to a supportive learning environment

What Were Looking For:

• A Connecticut-certified Special Education teacher ready to hit the ground running

• School-based experience requiredearly childhood and autism experience is a plus

• Someone calm, consistent, and skilled at working with intensive needs (though this is not a physically demanding role)

• A great communicator who thrives in a team-based setting
