Job Description
Job Summary: Performs lubrication and periodic maintenance tasks on Texas First Rentals rental equipment in field/job locations.
Essential Functions: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledge of construction equipment, aerial, and lifting equipment
· Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and practices
· Knowledge of operating characteristics and limitations of the equipment being operated
· Knowledge of safe work procedures and practices
· Knowledge of tools, including their designs, uses, and maintenance
· Demonstrates proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and basic knowledge of machine electronic systems
· Exceptional skills in customer service
· Operation and control skills of equipment or systems
· Ability to interact with tact and courtesy and maintain a professional demeanor
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and customers
· Ability to read and understand equipment service manuals and lubrication charts
· Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
· Ability to perform all the physical requirements of the position
Education and Experience:
· One or more years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None
Travel:
· Up to 20% travel
Additional Requirements:
· Valid Driver’s license required
· Ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and must have an acceptable driving record
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
· Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
· Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
· Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladders
· Be able to safely maneuver and work underneath equipment
· Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
Work Environment:
· Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment
· Regularly works outdoors around moving mechanical parts and noise level may be loud at times
· May be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
· Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment
· Required to perform work in cramped spaces and/or high places
