Description:

The Madrona Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events at our flagship Madrona location while actively growing the events business through strategic outreach and partnerships. This role ensures that every event reflects the glassybaby brand, fosters community engagement, and supports our philanthropic mission. The ideal candidate is highly organized, entrepreneurial, and passionate about creating exceptional experiences that inspire connection and giving.

Requirements:

Primary Duties:

  • Event Planning & Execution
  • Design and manage a calendar of events for the Madrona studio, including retail activations, community gatherings, and philanthropic initiatives.
  • Coordinate logistics such as scheduling, vendor management, décor, catering, and staffing.
  • Ensure events align with brand standards and deliver a memorable guest experience.
  • Business Growth & Outreach
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the events business, including private events, corporate gatherings, and nonprofit collaborations.
  • Proactively identify and engage potential clients, partners, and organizations to host events at Madrona.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of event opportunities through networking, outreach, and relationship management.
  • Collaborate with marketing to promote event offerings and drive bookings.
  • Community Engagement
  • Build relationships with local partners, nonprofits, and community organizations to create collaborative events.
  • Represent glassybaby at events and serve as a brand ambassador.
  • Budget & Reporting
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial goals.
  • Track event performance metrics, including revenue growth, attendance, and client satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with retail, philanthropy, and marketing teams to integrate events into broader company initiatives.
  • Train and support staff involved in event execution.
  • Anything else assigned.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth through outreach and partnerships.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends and some holidays as needed for events.
  • Self-starter and proactive and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Passion for community engagement and alignment with glassybaby’s mission of giving.

Education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses

  • 3+ years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or related field; experience in business development or sales preferred.
  • Event Planning Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience supervising employees?

Physical Demands

  • Ability to regularly lift-up to 35 pounds and rarely lift to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Must be able to work in conditions that are impacted by weather and climate.
  • Must be able to speak and hear well enough to conduct conversations.
  • Vision abilities are critical and include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where noise level is usually moderate.
  • Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; must be able to frequently reach with hands and arms; below, at and above the waistline
