Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Mail Clerk to join our team. This role is essential to the daily operations of our office, ensuring the accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing mail and packages. The ideal candidate is organized, punctual, and able to manage a fast-paced environment with professionalism. Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate departments or individuals
• Prepare and process outgoing mail, including USPS, FedEx, UPS, and other carriers
• Log and track incoming checks and other important documents
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Ensure confidentiality and security of all mail items, especially sensitive documents
• Coordinate special deliveries or courier pickups as needed
• Deliver interoffice mail as required
• Monitor and maintain mailroom supplies and equipment
• Assist with general clerical tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a mailroom or clerical position preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 30 lbs
• Proficient in using basic office equipment (copiers, postage machines, scanners)
• Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
