Our client is seeking a mailroom clerk in Salem,NH.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mail Room Clerk to join our team. As a Mail Room Clerk, you will be responsible for managing our check production mailroom. The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, learns quickly, and is comfortable with both computer tasks and mailroom equipment management.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

- Pay Rate: $19-20 per hour
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the check production mailroom efficiently and effectively
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages
- Operate mailroom equipment, including postage meters and mail folding machines
- Prepare outgoing mail and packages for delivery or shipment
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing mail
- Assist with data entry and other computer-related tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding mail handling and security
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate mailroom activities and prioritize tasks
- Perform general clerical duties, such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents

Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a mailroom or similar role is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in using computers and basic software applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes or packages, as needed
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
