JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an innovative Marketing Manager to promote our organization's brand to support and reach philanthropic goals. In this role, you will be optimizing our marketing planning, process, execution, and analysis of fundraising campaigns and projects. An outstanding marketing manager will be someone whose expertise translates into increased brand awareness and meets organization-wide goals.
This role will work with various internal departments with an emphasis on fundraising marketing campaigns under the supervision of the Director of Marketing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Create and manage an annual calendar of effective, ongoing fundraising marketing strategies, overseeing the planning, process, execution, and analysis of Think Together campaigns.
• Develop, implement, and manage innovative fundraising strategies and tactics to enhance campaign effectiveness and donor engagement.
• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and digital agencies to manage branding, digital advertising, and promotional campaigns.
• Develop and implement channel strategies and messaging for fundraising campaigns, promoting our brand to target audiences.
• Work with the Think Together marketing & communications team on organization-wide initiatives, marketing strategies, and joint marketing campaigns.
• Analyze market trends to inform strategy and improve campaign performance.
• Project manage campaigns and events with the Fund Development department, ensuring all deadlines are met and project goals are accomplished.
• Coordinate with creative and content teams to develop impactful marketing collateral.
• Prepare and present KPI and campaign reports, analyzing data to evaluate success and inform future strategies.
• Maintain the integrity of the Think Together brand across all mediums.
• Collaborate with the communications team to execute effective public relations outreach, publicizing success stories.
• Support marketing and fundraising events and special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a marketing role with a successful track record or relevant work experience, nonprofit fundraising experience a plus.
• Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels.
• Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
• Experience in managing a WordPress website and basic SEO knowledge.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills, including experience writing consumer/donor focused communications.
• Self-motivated
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Sound knowledge of project management software and project management best practices. Plus, if familiar with Asana.
• Strong passion and connection to our mission to change the odds for students.
• Nonprofit fundraising campaign experience is highly desirable.
• Provide and maintain a clear TB test throughout employment.
• Hybrid role - 80% remote, 10% school site visits through-out southern California, 10% occasional home office meeting in Santa Ana, CA.
COMPUTER AND EQUIPMENT SKILLS: • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Email, social media, and internet.
• InDesign and/or Photoshop a plus
• Use of typical office equipment
COMPENSATION: - Salary Range $70,000 - $80,000
This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
