Seeking a qualified automotive Mechanic with knowledge of foreign and domestic vehicles.
Our shop is a small, family oriented business, that works on vehicles of all years and specializes in the repair and maintenance of vintage foreign and domestic automobiles such as Vintage MG, Austin Healey, Lotus, Jaguar, Mini Cooper, Classic Ford such as Pantera and Falcons, Rolls Royce, Triumph, Impala, Citroen, Alpha Romeo and much more including customers modern vehicle maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of diagnostics and repair and/or restoration on a variety of vehicles. Must be a self starter and able to work with minimal supervision efficiently. Must be able to work well with others and have good customer service skills. Looking for someone who is passionate about their work and who pays attention to details.
Job Duties include:
- Diagnosis, repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, electrical, fuel system, and components, etc.
- Conduct safety inspections, test drives and make necessary adjustments to controls and systems.
- Diagnose and repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace the respective parts and components when needed.
- Perform routine maintenance, including: fluid changing, greasing of components, engine tune up, tire rotations, replacement of filters, and ensuring the reliability of vehicle braking systems.
- Record vehicle service and repairs on a given format and supply this information to the shop supervisor.
-Keep a clean and safe work environment for yourself and other employees.
Qualification/ Requirements:
2+ years of diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical automotive systems
Knowledge of classic automobiles
Must be able to hit the ground running, little training needed
You must be able to supply your own tools.
Compensation based on capabilities and experience : $20-$40 per hour
Health benefits (medical, dental and vision) offered after 90 day probationary period.
