Mechanical Apprentice - Machine Mechanic - (Trainee Position)

Location: Marietta, GA

Pay: $20-$22 /hr.

Hours: 2 Full Time Shifts Available- must be able to rotate amongst both schedules

- 6 a.m.- 6 p.m.

- 6 p.m. - 6 a.m.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Sets up and adjusts converting equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Start-up, adjustments involving close tolerances, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Assists in adjuster/operator training; Provides coverage if needed
• Examines product to ensure the quality process is followed; Minimizes waste
• Perform visual inspections to identify issues as early in the production process as possible.
• Performs preventative maintenance to ensure consistent quality production.
• Maintains clean machine and work area (sweeps, removes waste, etc.).
• Other duties and assignments as required.
• Communicate with the shift supervisor and/or machine adjusters about potential issues that could affect product quality and/or safety

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Advanced mechanical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills preferred.
• Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a tape measurer, dial caliper, and micrometer
• Flexibility is required with machine assignment
• Education and Experience
• Previous warehouse experience especially in the metal industry
