Duties

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the medical office to maintain seamless workflow and adherence to policies.
• Manage staff schedules, training programs, and performance reviews to support a high-functioning team.
• Implement and refine systems to enhance patient care and streamline office efficiency.
• Develop, manage, and track office budgets to maintain financial responsibility.
• Coordinate with medical providers to ensure full compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Respond to patient inquiries and complaints with professionalism to elevate service quality.
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant recordkeeping and medical documentation practices.
• Collaborate across departments to enhance interoffice coordination and patient outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a medical office setting —this is non-negotiable.
• Hands-on experience with Athena EMR —we need someone who knows this system inside and out.
• Proficient in general medical office management, protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Solid understanding of financial management and budget tracking in a healthcare environment.
• Experience with tools and systems that optimize patient experience and office operations.
• Familiarity with critical and acute care settings is a plus.
• Dental office operations knowledge is a bonus, but not required.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
