Salary: Commensurate with experience

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Cardiology team and specialize in Coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) and Nuclear Stress Testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular care and diagnostic testing, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and supporting diagnostic accuracy.

The role provides an exciting opportunity to work alongside a team of cardiologists, technologists, and healthcare professionals in a dynamic clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently conduct and oversee Coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA), nuclear stress tests, including exercise and pharmacological stress tests.
• Monitor and assess patients throughout the testing process to ensure safety, accurate results, and optimal patient experience.
• Collaborate with technologists and interpreting physicians for stress test planning and execution.
• Perform comprehensive pre-test evaluations, including history-taking, physical exams, and risk assessment for patients undergoing stress testing.
• Interpret clinical data and identify contraindications to stress testing.
• Communicate test results and findings to patients and referring providers as needed.
• Educate patients on procedures, preparation, and potential results of nuclear stress testing.
• Provide counseling on cardiovascular health, risk factors, and prevention strategies.
• Work closely with cardiologists, nursing staff, imaging technicians, and support teams to deliver seamless patient care.
• Accurately document assessments, procedures, and follow-up plans in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Requirements:

• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in NY.
• Certification as an NP or PA in Cardiology or relevant specialty preferred.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in cardiology, CCTA, nuclear medicine, or stress testing preferred.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to independently perform and oversee nuclear stress tests.
• Excellent patient assessment and diagnostic interpretation skills.
• Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
