This position is for an Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician joining a well-established private practice in Howard County, MD, offering comprehensive women's healthcare services including mammograms, ultrasound, and advanced gynecological treatments. The group manages around 45 deliveries per month, with a balanced focus on obstetrics and gynecology, supported by specialists such as breast radiologists and oncologists, Fellows, and robotic surgery expertise. A private well-established group of 7 providers in Howard County MD, an upper-middle-class diverse bedroom community to Baltimore and DC is looking to hire an OB Physician. The group works out of 1 beautiful fully equipped office where they have all of the latest equipment and have a comprehensive approach to women s healthcare they offer in-office mammograms, ultrasound and tech, pelvic floor physical Therapy, Mona Lisa, Medi-Spa treatments laser, injectables, and have a plastic surgeon for consultation. They also have a fellowship-trained Breast Radiologist and Breast Oncologist who visit the office weekly.
The group does about 45 deliveries monthly so averages 11 per physician. Once the two are hired, the OBGYNs will share call of 1:5 with a post-call day off and also a half day off after a weekend call so 3 or 4 days in the office plus call which is very lifestyle friendly. Call is taken from home and is usually not crazy busy and physicians have no office or surgical responsibilities while on call. They do a good mix of OB and GYN but are a slightly more GYN-weighted group. One of their physicians is trained in Robotics and is one of the leading robotic surgeons in the state. He loves to teach and mentor and will scrub with new hires if so desired. The physicians do minors in the office and majors in the hospital. They admit to a community-based hospital that has a level III nursery and all services in-house including residents who rotate in. They keep all babies except those with cardiac issues. The hospital has 3 MFMs and 2 GYNOnc physicians and the group uses an REI group in town (one of the physician's husbands works in the group). They are also flirting with adding a UroGynecologist to the practice. This group is very popular and physicians average 20-25 patients daily. There is very little turnover and everyone works as a team. They offer a very competitive salary and benefits package, great earning potential, and a nice lifestyle-friendly work schedule.
