Customer Service Associate Mailroom - Part Time

Shipping/Receiving/Delivery Associate

About the role:

As a Customer Service Associate in a Mailroom, your primary responsibility is to support mail and shipping operations, performing a variety of office services tasks.

• Maintain the highest levels of customer care and professionalism while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude
• Perform various mail/shipping/receiving activities: sort, delivery, pickup, etc.
• Operate office equipment including mailing, copy, and scanning equipment
• Lift heavy boxes, mail trays, file boxes, and paper when needed
• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to engage in repetitive motion activities like twisting, bending, and climbing
• Sort, track, and deliver mail, packages, and large boxes
• Perform copier toner and paper replacement
• Respond to copiers requiring attention, place and track service calls on equipment
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
• Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands
• Consistently adhere to safety and business procedure guidelines
• Take direction from supervisor
• Maintain all logs and reporting documentation
• Participate in cross-training and perform other duties as assigned
• Shipping & Receiving - ship and sign for packages
• Provide backfill for co-workers when needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months customer service-related experience preferred but not required; will train successful candidate
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required

Qualifications:

• Team-oriented contributor
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Willingness and availability to work additional hours if assigned
• Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
• Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time

This is a climate-controlled mailroom environment with occasional exposure to dust and toner. Office casual dress is required. Downtown Evanston, IL location, 2 blocks from public transportation.

"The pay range for this position starts at $15.00; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
