Job Description
Discourse Power seeks a English Teacher (Part-Time) to teach Public Speaking classes for our public speaking program (grades 3 to 9). Discourse Power, a new start-up, offers public Speaking and debate programs to youth in grades 3 to 12.
We are seeking a English Teacher (part-time) who has subject expertise in teaching public speaking/communication classes and classroom teaching experience. These classes will be scheduled in the evening hours and sometimes on weekends, depending on the teacher’s availability. Estimating hours in a week could range between 2 to 3 hours a week. The role requires creating a curriculum for public speaking classes and teaching in the evening hours (after school).

Evident passion for the academic subject matter being taught
Willingness to adapt to an existing curriculum as well as contribute ideas to enhance the respective academic programs
Bachelor's Degree in Literature or comparable area; Advanced degrees encouraged
Successful teaching experience in secondary school and/or university
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or in progress is acceptable.
Successful teaching experience in the secondary school system.

Schedule:
1.5 hours in the evening or weekend (Once a week), flexibility to choose hours.
Work Location: In-person (Mountain House).
Compensation: Based on the experience.
